This is SUCH a wonderful event. We are so incredibly thankful for everyone who came out this past Friday to help the Youth Center and the children that we serve. The Holiday Inn, our fantastic venue, was full of people who have supported our cause throughout the years in a multitude of ways. There are no words to express our gratitude for kindness and generosity! The pandemic was a difficult time, but we were able to get through it because of the wonderful community that has always rallied around us and our kids.
This event was not only a totally tubular way to celebrate our 55th year, but it was also in honor of our Former Executive Director, my father Matt Congdon. I wish more than anything that he could be here to share this milestone with us, but I know that he was there in spirit. He will always serve as our inspiration and as a daily reminder of a simple truth- one person can truly make a difference in this world.
