At the Glens Falls Area Youth Center, we’re dedicated to providing our members with a supportive, positive, and encouraging environment.
We want to be a home away from home that they can count on, so we work hard to be a consistent presence, instill a sense of family, help develop good habits, and let our kids know that someone will always have their back. When they leave the GFAYC, we want them to go out into the world knowing that they can do anything they put their mind to, and they can lift any weight that life throws at them.

The Glens Falls Area Youth Center is a non-profit organization that serves disadvantaged youth (5th through 12th graders) in the greater Glens Falls, New York area through a wide variety of educational, recreational and life-skills programs (including after school snacks and dinner each day), completely free of charge.

Dear Youth Center Members, Families, Community Members, and Donors,
I wouldn’t be the person I am today without this organization. My father, Matt Congdon, deserves all the credit for that. He was the architect of this awe-inspiring, engaging, laughter-filled environment.
I was a Youth Center kid. This place was my second home, my sanctuary. It’s where I grew up. Each day after school I excitedly rushed through the doors, laced up my basketball sneakers and jumped in on the pick-up game rotations. I was an only child, but the truth is, I’ve had thousands of siblings, because at the Youth Center we are a family.
Investing in our organization and the kids that we support is investing in a brighter future for the community as a whole. Your support ensures that the Youth Center will be around for generations to come.
