We sat down with YC member, Cody (affectionately nicknamed Codester by the staff), to get to know the man behind the mask! We chose Cody to be our Member of the Month for June after watching him interact with his peers at the youth center. Cody treats everyone with kindness, he’s always making newer members feel welcome, and BOY does he make us laugh with his awesome sense of humor. Keep up the good work, Codester!

What’s your favorite subject?: My favorite subject is actually being here (laughs). I actually like gym, it’s really fun and helps out with your athletic skills.

What are your hobbies?: I like to hang out with my friends and play pool. I really love to hang out with my friends. Mainly, I like hanging out here!

What do you want to be when you grow up?: Police Officer, because it involves really good athletic skills, intelligence, and some college.

3 interesting facts about you:

1. Dogs are my favorite animal

Favorite movie? Why?: Ooooo my favorite movie, honestly, I’d have to say it’s the Joker re-make. It has a really interesting backstory and really great parts in it. Just telling us what happened in his past, and then what happens in the future.

Favorite sport?: Honestly, to be honest, I like running. Running is actually really good for your lungs, it gives your body more muscle so you can run even faster!

Why do you like the YC?: The reason why I like the YC is because they have great activities, really creative tournaments, and also nice people!; like Molly, Carly, Alex, Anthony!

How long have you been coming to the YC?: About a year!

What is the most important lesson you’ve learned at the YC?: To always be kind and generous to people, never be mean.
